CURRENT FANTASY is the brainchild of Jeff Heisholt, an innovative live electronic project built around modular and hardware synthesizers, samples, drum machines, and real-time sonic manipulation.

Influenced by iconic electronic acts like Kraftwerk, The Orb, 808 State, Orbital, Aphex Twin, New Order, and Depeche Mode, CURRENT FANTASY layers intricate rhythms, textures, and atmosphere into an improvised analog/digital soundscape that feels nostalgic, futuristic, and a little bit messy in all the right ways.

After 25 years on the road and in the studio with artists including The Trews, Peter Elkas, Terra Lightfoot, Burt Neilson Band, Skydiggers, and The Mercenaries, Heisholt returns to his first musical love: synthesizers.

Whether you’re drawn in by the visuals, locked into the groove, or just soaking up the sounds, CURRENT FANTASY is a multi-sensory experience best enjoyed live.
